Thánatos e Eros - agora...

Abstract

O tema do amor e da morte é recorrente na nossa cultura. Duas palavras gregas –thánatos e eros – são retomadas por duas figuras importantes da nossa cultura mais recente: Freud e Heidegger. Elas relacionam-se com os problemas da cura, da existência autêntica, da verdade, o que abre caminho para uma compreensão que parte da psicologia, com Freud, e chega à ontologia, com Heidegger.

The theme of love and death is recurrent in our civilization. Two Greek words – thanatos and eros – are retaken by two representative persons of our recent culture, Freud and Heidegger. Both confront them with problems of cure, authentic existence and truth. These questions open the way to a comprehensiveness developed from the psychology, in the case of Freud, to the ontology, in the case of Heidegger.
