In this study we highlight the importance of the Atlantic route as a privileged circuit of circulation from the Bronze Age up to the Roman era. We also question the Gaditan elites' importance and contribution in the context of the Roman campaigns in the Northwest façade of the Peninsula. We describe some of the places referred to in the sources and present the material culture data to exemplify this issue.eng
