Natureza, agricultura e utopia no discurso da crise homérico e hesiódico

Abstract

Given the krisis arising from the deposition of Uranus by Chronos and the break of the connection between Earth and Heaven, the importance of nature as a bringer of peace and harmony is analised. There remain traces of the Golden Age in the gardens of Alcinous and in bucolic poetry, in the same way that in the Romans’ mos maiorum there remains, among other things, on the part of Cato and of Augustan official politics, the nostalgic remembrance of the importance of rural labour in the formation of character. Between a utopia situated in the past and the ambition characteristic of a present of commercial and bellic speculation, an Aristophanic wine-grower, alien to the diverse Platonic and Aristotelian ideological systems, carries out an individual action that reestablishes the bond between Earth and Heaven.

Considerada a krisis decorrente da deposição de Úrano por Crono e o corte da ligação entre a Terra e o Céu, analisa-se a importância da natureza como propiciadora de paz e harmonia. Da Idade do Ouro permanecem vestígios nos jardins de Alcínoo e na poesia bucólica, do mesmo modo que, do mos maiorum dos Romanos resta, entre outras coisas, a nostálgica recordação, por parte de Catão e da política oficial augustana, da importância do trabalho rural na formação do caráter da pessoa. Entre a utopia situada no passado e a ambição que marca um presente de especulação comercial e bélica, empreende um vinhateiro aristofânico, alheio aos diversos sistemas ideológicos platónicos e aristotélicos, uma ação individual que restabelece o vínculo entre Terra e Céu.
