Abstract: The present paper depicts a method to continuously evaluate the operational performance of resources allocated to the maintenance of an AVAC system, that provides air conditioning to surgery rooms in a public hospital at the lowest possible energy cost. The method combines three other methods: the “Balance Score Card (BSC)”, the “Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)” and the “Metrics-Merit Conversion (MMC)”. The hierarchy is formed by 52 indicators. A sensitivity analysis completes the decision making process by providing guidance to prioritize improvement courses of action.
