Los señores de la frontera: perspectivas sobre la nobleza de León y Castilla en torno a 1200

Abstract

Este estudio plantea la influencia de la nobleza en la frontera entre los reinos de Castilla y León de 1157 a 1230. Se analizan las relaciones heredadas de tiempos anteriores, cuando el mismo monarca gobernaba ambos reinos, y las consecuencias políticas, territoriales y religiosas de las estructuras sociales consolidadas en este periodo. El artículo sugiere que este punto de vista ayuda a entender la nueva unión de los dos reinos en 1230.

This paper examines the influence of the nobility on the border of the kingdoms of Castile and Leon between 1157 and 1230. The relationships inherited from earlier times, when the same monarch ruled the two kingdoms, and the political, religious and territorial consequences of the social structures consolidated within this period are analysed. The article suggests that this point of view helps to understanding the new union of the both kingdoms in 1230.
