Portugal 1936: represión y encuadramiento político

Abstract

Estuda-se neste ar tigo a influência da deflagração da Guerra Civil de Espanha nas políticas repressivas e de enquadramento políticos do Estado Novo. Procura-se compreender quais foram as respostas da Ditadura às acções de solidariedade com a II República Espanhola e quais os instrumentos utilizados no controlo da Esfera Pública. Analisa-se, para além disso, o modo como o bloco social de apoio do Estado Novo e as suas elites dirigentes encetaram esforços no sentido de apoiar a sublevação nacionalista – no quadro das solidariedades inter-fascistas existente desde o início dos anos 30 – violando o “Pacto de não Intervenção”.

Dans cet article, on étudie l’influence de la déflagration de la Guerre Civile d’Espagne dans les politiques répressives et du cadre politique de l’Estado Novo. Nous essayons de comprendre quelles ont été les réponses de la Dictature aux actions de solidarité envers la II République Espagnole et quels instruments utilisés dans le contrôle de la Sphère Publique. Ce qui est analysé, en plus, c’est la façon dont le bloc social de soutien de l’Estado Novo et de ses élites dirigeantes ont entrepris des efforts dans le sens de sout eni r l e soul e vement nationaliste – dans le cadre des solidarités inter-fascistes existantes depuis le début des années 30 – violant le «Pacte de non-intervention».

In this article is studied the influence of the deflagration of the Civil War of Spain in the repressive politics and the political framing of the Estado Novo. We try to understand the answers of the Dictatorship to the actions of solidarity towards the II Spanish Republic and the instruments used in controlling the Public Sphere. What is analysed besides that is the way how a social block of support of the Estado Novo and their leading elites made efforts in the sense of supporting the nationalist rise – in the framework of inter-fascists solidarities existing since the beginning of the 30s – violating the “Pact of no intervention”.
