L’attitude des adultes vis-à- vis des enfants pendant les guerres, chez Plutarque

Abstract

The accounts given by Plutarch show in an original way that, in wartime, Cities and parents try to protect their children and to maintain a ‘normal’ life. Yet, when facing certain attacks, parents out of despair, would rather kill their children and then commit suicide. As for their enemies, they usually show no mercy: children suffer the same fate as their parents or are even killed because of their parents’ acts.
