Entre filosofia transcendental e dialéctica: o percurso do idealismo Alemão

Abstract

This Chapter studies the developement of German Idealism, departing from the modern rediscovery and reassesment of dialectics by Kant. It departs from the study of the specific function of dialectics in Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason, showing how this function reappears under different forms until the overcoming of idealism by Schelling. Considering the relation between system and dialectics, this Chapter shows how transcendental philosophy was thus (1) reformed in Fichte’s early philosophy, as a system of incompleteness; (2) reafirmed as a radicalized transcendentalism in Fichte’s late thought; (3) dialectically reshaped by Hegel as a philosophy of negativity; (4) ending up with a reversal of reason by Schelling. In such a reversal, dialectics opens the way to the contemporary critique of reason.

Este capítulo estuda o desenvolvimento da filosofia do idealismo alemão a partir da redescoberta e revalorização moderna da dialéctica por Kant. Parte do estudo da função da dialéctica na Crítica da Razão Pura de Kant, mostrando como essa função é retomada em diferentes figuras filosóficas até à resolução final do idealismo com Schelling. Assim, sempre em torno da relação entre sistema e dialéctica, a filosofia transcendental foi: (1) transfigurada na primeira filosofia de Fichte como um sistema da incompletude; (2) reafirmada como transcendentalismo radicalizado na filosofia tardia de Fichte; (3) dialectizada na Lógica de Hegel como filosofia da negatividade; (4) culminando com uma aparente inversão da razão por Schelling. Com esta inversão, a dialéctica abriu o caminho para a crítica contemporânea da razão.
