Criminalística biológica

Abstract

The objectives of the exam of Forensic Genetics are addressed from the perspective of genetic identification of biological samples (problem and reference) collected within the expertise of biologic criminalistics, as well as chapters and particularities to mention at the appropriate expert report. Apart from the reference to the genetic markers most used today, to solve this kind of expertise, are listed the main types of related crimes with which these exams are required, and the respective biological samples taken at different crimes (blood, semen, saliva, hair and skin cells). Finally, the possible conclusions of the expert report are listed, as well as the respective weighing of the evidence, if there is agreement from genetic profiles of unknown sample(s) with the reference sample.

São abordados os objetivos das perícias de Genética Forense na perspetiva da identificação genética de amostras biológicas (problema e de referência) colhidas no âmbito das perícias de criminalística biológica, bem como os capítulos e as particularidades a mencionar no respetivo relatório pericial. Para além da referência aos marcadores genéticos mais usados na atualidade, para a resolução deste tipo de perícias, são indicados os principais tipos de crimes relacionados com os quais são solicitadas as referidas perícias. Acresce as respetivas amostras biológicas colhidas nos diferentes delitos (sangue, sémen, saliva, pelos e células epiteliais). Por fim, são enumeradas as conclusões possíveis do relatório pericial, assim como a respetiva valorização da prova, quando se verifique a concordância de perfis genéticos da(s) amostra(s) problema com a amostra de referência.
