The text begins with a few considerations about the cultural intercourse in Europe, which with Gutenbergs invention of the press began to assume new and intenser forms, leading to the formation of an specific European culture. This intercourse is especially important in the field of the music, namely the opera. The friendship of Hugo von Hofmannthals and Richard Strauss led to a new phase in the German lyrical theatre, as one can see in Ariadne auf Naxos. Important is the renewal of the intercourse of the theatre - opera, as in the present libreto based on Molière's Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme , in which the final ballet gives place to the opera. Our final considerations refer the new concept of the intercourse in the artistic field.eng
