Abstract: This contribution intends to show how certain aspects of the economy, in particular those linked to the circulation of goods, were able to evolve from elements that were culturally significant so as to modify prevailing habits and practices. In the case of wine, for example, the exchanges do not involve merely subsistence and production connected with the consumption of food but also encompass the realm of religion and, in truth, the landscape.
