Questões em torno da unanimidade litúrgica no mosteiro de Alcobaça – séculos XIII a XV

Abstract

Este artigo centra-se na questão da unanimidade litúrgica cisterciense no contexto da abadia de Alcobaça, entre os séculos XIII e XV. A problematização da questão vai ser realizada através da análise de alguns dos seus manuscritos, nomeadamente os de uso litúrgico, como os breviários e os códices de apoio à liturgia. Os referidos manuscritos constituem-se como uma importante fonte de informação sobre a prática diária da liturgia no ambiente da abadia, sobre o cumprimento das orientações provenientes dos Capítulos Gerais de Cister e sobre a sua maior ou menor permeabilidade a outras devoções.

This article focuses on the issue of the Cistercian liturgical standardisation in the context of Alcobaça abbey between the 13th and the 15th centuries. The problematics of this issue will be carried out through the analysis of some of its manuscripts, including liturgical manuscripts such as breviaries and other codices supporting liturgy. These manuscripts constitute an important source of information on the daily practice of the liturgy in the abbey’s context, on the implementation of the guidelines from the Cistercian General Chapters and on their higher or lower permeability to other devotions.
