Foi a I Guerra Global Portuguesa.
The Restoration/ Acclamation War was not a war waged to defend Portuguese borders in the Iberian Peninsula. Rather, it was a war waged on a global scale, in which Portugal had to mobilize the "nothing" that it had in order to face the "all" that opposed it. In addition to the well-known and important battles of Eivas, Ameixial and Montes Claros, the war was fought in Brazil, Africa and Asia. Portugal had to define strategies and make very difficult choices about what it had to lose in order to protect what it thought was essential. The war represented a rebirth and an affirmation of the will and worth of Portugal. It was the First Global Portuguese War.
