Estado, tempo e limite

Abstract

Tendo por objectivo averiguar as actuais condições de operatividade do Estado, ensaia-se um inquérito a dois níveis. O primeiro incide sobre o processo de auto-instituição do Estado enquanto continuidade: para tanto, analisa-se um dos clássicos eixos de fundamentação estatais, o eixo da permanência, no âmbito do qual os conceitos residentes de soberania, de história e de fronteira refazem incessantemente a configuração estatal. O segundo reflecte sobre os modos de compatibilidade entre aquele eixo de fundamentação e os actuais paradigmas político-jurídicos de enquadramento da estatalidade.

With a view to ascertaining the actual operational conditions of the State, a two-level investigation is attempted. The first touches upon the State's process of auto-institution whilst continuity: with this in mind, one of the classical state axis of foundation is analysed, the axis of permanence, within the scope of which the resident concepts of sovereignty, history and frontier incessantly reshape the state form. The second reflects upon the modes of compatibility between that axis of foundation and the actual political-juridical paradigms of the framework of statehood.
