Hübner’s proposal to identify the Bocchi, present as a literary source in Pliny and Solinus, with one of the Cornelii Bocchi documented by the Lusitanian inscriptions has had great fortune and acceptation. The aim of this paper is to notice up to what point this fact is a conjectural supposition and a question that must remain opened despite the considerable progress adrieved. |
