Abstract: Em Portugal, a manifestação das políticas educativas neoliberais, sendo sobretudo retórica, é implementada de forma mitigada com a criação de rankings de escolas, promovendo a competição entre elas. O estudo que apresentamos, de natureza qualitativa, teve como objectivos principais compreender a representação que os professores, nomeadamente do ensino secundário, têm dos rankings e avaliar o impacto destes nas suas próprias práticas de avaliação. Enquadramos os rankings de escolas no contexto das políticas educativas e curriculares de tendência neoliberal, que têm nos quase mercado educativos a sua expressão mais vincada. De forma mais ampla, procuramos o sentido das próprias políticas neoliberais, como expressão tecnocrática da política no contexto do relativismo e individualismo pós-moderno que abre espaço a que o domínio técnico se estabeleça como única resposta possível e para que o individualismo e o livre-arbítrio emirjam como sustentáculos dessa política.
Au Portugal, la manifestation des politiques néolibérales, surtout rhétorique, est mise en oeuvre d’une façon mitigée avec l’introduction des rankings des écoles, promouvant leur compétition. L’ étude qualitative que nous présentons est axée dans les objectifs suivants: comprendre la représentation des rankings des écoles construite par les enseignants et en évaluer l’impact sur leurs pratiques d’évaluation. Nous situons les rankings des écoles dans le contexte des politiques éducatives et curriculaires de tendance néolibéral, surtout visibles dans les « quasi-marchés » éducatives. Nous cherchons, encore, le sens des politiques néolibérales, comme une expression technocratique de la politique dans le contexte du relativisme et de l’individualisme post-moderne, dont le domaine technique est la seule réponse pour que l’individualisme et le libre arbitre émergent pour soutenir cette politique.
In Portugal, the manifestation of the educational neoliberal policies, most of all rhetoric, has been developed with the creation of school rankings, which promote the competition amidst them. The review we are presenting, which nature is qualitative, had as main objectives to hold the conceptions which teachers, namely from the high school, have about the rankings and to evaluate their impact in their own practices of assessment. We frame the rankings of schools in the context of the educational and curricular policies of neoliberal trends, which have at the educational fast markets their strong expression. We search the sense of the neoliberal policies, as a technocratic expression from the policy in the context about the relativity and individualism post – modern which opens space to the establishment of the technical sphere as the only feasible answer and in order to the individualism and the liberal-command appear as support of that policy.
