O serviço de apoio administrativo da Biblioteca Geral: funções correntes e desafios novos

Abstract

The Administrative Support Services of the General Library fulfill several fundamental tasks for the functioning of this organic unit of the University of Coimbra. One of its main responsibilities is to support to the internal users (services and personnel of the General Library, organic units of the University and the Social Action Services of the University of Coimbra), as well as to the external users (readers, researchers and collective entities). This work intends to bring awareness to some tendencies that have prevailed in this field, points to future challenges and proposes improvement measures.

O Serviço de Apoio Administrativo da Biblioteca Geral cumpre várias tarefas fundamentais ao funcionamento desta unidade orgânica da Universidade de Coimbra. Uma das suas funções é realizar os atendimentos dos utentes internos (órgãos, serviços e trabalhadores da Biblioteca Geral, orgânicas da Universidade de Coimbra e dos Serviços de Ação Social da Universidade de Coimbra) e externos (leitores, investigadores e entidades coletivas). Neste trabalho mostram‑se algumas tendências que vêm prevalecendo neste campo, perspetivam‑se alguns desafios e propõem‑se medidas de melhoria.
