Intersecções entre o local e o global a partir das escolhas alimentares de imigrantes transnacionais em Amsterdã

Abstract

This text aims to explore what is shaping the food practices of transnational immigrants in the city of Amsterdam and reflecting on the configuration of their lifestyles in this city. From an ethnographic approach, we consider as an analytical focus the dialogue between food practices, their migratory project and the food landscape of Amsterdam. The intersections between the global and the local, understood in its cultural dimensions are considered essential in order to understand what is shaping the food of these immigrants, given the context of intensification of the global processes.

Este texto tem como meta explorar o que vem moldando as práticas alimentares de imigrantes transnacionais na cidade de Amsterdã e repercutindo na configuração de seus estilos de vida nessa cidade. A partir de uma abordagem etnográfica, consideramos como foco de análise a interlocução entre as práticas alimentares, o projeto migratório desses indivíduos e a paisagem alimentar de Amsterdã. As intersecções entre o global e o local, entendidos em suas dimensões culturais, são consideradas fundamentais no sentido de compreender o que vem moldando a alimentação desses imigrantes, dado o contexto de intensificação dos processos globais.
