Abstract: After the general pardon of 1605, the new Christians had some indefinite time to prepare another behaviour, another strategy to the Inquisition — they get some important charges, above all at the ecclesiastic standard, getting too penetrate into the convents. When arrive the time of «the big Coimbra’s prisions», (1621- -1634) a lot of important new Christians is arrested, such, Antonio Homem, André de Avelar etc. and we discover that some of the principal Coimbra’s female convents are true judaism’s nuts. Through their proceedings we can see a lot of signs of the social and conventual life of that time and as the convents refuse to receive again the new Christians nuns, are excomunicated and surrounded by the civil authorities which cause a enormous scandal into the town.
