At the end of the second government of Getulio Vargas (1953), the whole country was in crisis. Once elected, President Juscelino Kubitscheck reestablished the popular alliance for development of the Country. It was necessary to bring about political stability and economic growth. For this purpose, he created a plan which made as its goal the building of Brasilia. With the construction of Brasilia, the central plateau was integrated within the world capitalist System and, internally, it became the focal point of national progress and development.eng
