In this work the author seeks to reveal the historical evolution of the legal defence of collective interests in society. The principal instruments of the law which we can distinguish in the study are the following: popular actions (Roman Law) the ombudsman (Scandinavian Law) and class actions (Common Law). To conclude, the author proposes the establishment of a public civil action and a specific process for the effective defence of collective interests.eng
