Ecos do religioso na filosofia de P. Ricoeur: a poética da revelação

Abstract

Embora P. Ricoeur tenha tido sempre o cuidado de distinguir o pensamento filosófico do religioso, procurando não os confundir, podemos dizer que é considerável a atenção consagrada ao fenómeno religioso na sua obra. É o horizonte da crença o motivo principal das suas preocupações em matéria de hermenêutica do religioso. Para o filósofo, o problema da interpretação da linguagem religiosa não pode desaparecer do horizonte filosófico, apesar de o discurso filosófico dever manter a sua autonomia própria. É, pois, possível identificar, no contexto de uma investigação filosófica a particularidade da linguagem religiosa e, tendo em conta que toda a experiência religiosa se articula numa linguagem, é a dimensão poética e narrativa da religião cristã que Ricoeur analisa, sob a ótica nomeadamente da problemática da verdade –revelação.

Bien que P. Ricoeur ait toujours pris soin de séparer sa pensée philosophique de ses réflexions d´ordre religieuse, essayant de ne pas les identifier, on peut dire que l'attention accordée au phénomène religieux dans son travail est considérable. C’est la dimension de la croyance et de ses expressions qui est la principale raison de préoccupations ricoeuriennes concernant l’herméneutique du religieux. D´après le philosophe, le problème de l'interprétation du langage religieux ne peut pas disparaître de l'horizon philosophique, même si le discours philosophique doit soutenir son autonomie. Il est donc possible de réfléchir, dans le contexte d'une enquête philosophique, sur la singularité de ce langage. En tenant compte du fait que toute expérience religieuse est articulée dans un langage, c'est la dimension poétique et narrative de la religion chrétienne qu´occupe les analyses de Ricoeur que se situent, d´un point de vue épistémologique, sur l´axe de la vérité révélation.

Even though Paul Ricoeur was always careful to distinguish between philosophical and religious thought, striving never to confuse them, we may say that he has paid a considerable attention to the religious phenomenon in his work. As such, the horizon of faith appears as the main theme of his concerns regarding the hermeneutics of the religious. To this philosopher, the problem of interpreting the religious language cannot vanish from the philosophical horizon, even if philosophical discourse has to maintain its own autonomy. We can therefore identify, in the context of a philosophical investigation, the specific character of religious language. Considering that every religious experience is articulated in a given language, it is the poetic and narrative dimension of the Christian religion that Ricoeur chooses to analyse, namely from the angle of the truth‑‑ revelation problem.
