Notizia circa le ceramiche della Collezione Egizia del Museo Archeologico Civico di Modena

Abstract

This brief contribution provides the first news about some ceramic artefacts belonging to the Egyptian collection of the Modena Civic Archaeological Museum, showing a part of their inventorial history and recognizing, moreover, a fragment of attic pottery and a pilgrim flask of St. Menas. Strating from a general preamble dedicated to the composition and the historical inventories, it will be traced summary notes to outline the consistency of this series with its identification in the inventories. The text provides then a comparative table of the findings examined on the basis of the two historical inventories and the images of the objects treated.

Il breve contributo fornisce le prime sommarie notizie circa alcuni reperti ceramici facenti parte della collezione egizia del Museo Archeologico Civico di Modena, mostrandone alcune vicende inventariali e riconoscendovi tra l’altro un frammento di ceramica attica ed un’ampolla di S. Mena. Ad una premessa di carattere generico dedicata alla formazione e alle vicende degli inventari storici, seguiranno delle note sommarie per delineare la consistenza di questa serie con identificazione negli inventari. Il testo fornisce inoltre un prospetto comparativo dei reperti esaminati in base ai due inventari storici e le immagini dei reperti trattati.
