dc.description.abstractNeste artigo, são analisados dados sobre o abandono escolar precoce recolhidos junto de uma amostra de alunos que inicialmente frequentavam escolas públicas do concelho de Coimbra. Os dados pertencem às duas coortes mais jovens de um estudo longitudinal iniciado, nesta região, em 1992/1993. Particular atenção foi prestada à análise das taxas de prevalência do abandono escolar precoce e à relação deste fenómeno com vários factores sociodemográficos. Finalmente, a partir destes dados são tiradas algumas implicações para a formação de professores e para a definição de políticas educativas.por
dc.description.abstractDans cet article nous analysons des données sur l’abandon scolaire précoce recueillies auprès d’un échantillon d’élèves ayant fréquenté des écoles publiques de la commune de Coimbra. Ces données aux deus cohortes les plus jeunes d’unes étude commencée dans cette région, en 1992-1993. Une attention particulière a été portée sur l’analyse des taux de prévalence de l’abandon scalaire précoce et le rapport entre ce phénomène et les différents facteurs sociodémographiques.fra
dc.description.abstractIn this paper the authors analyse and discuss data on early school dropout, from a large sample of students originally attending public schools in the County of Coimbra. These data were collected from the two younger cohorts of a large longitudinal study initiated in 1992-1993 in this region. Particular attention was devoted to prevalence rates of early dropout and their relationships with several socidemographic factors. Finally, some implications were drawn from these findings for the definition of new educational politics and teachers’ training.eng
