Inventio e dispositio no debate senatorial de Bellum Catilinae 50. 4-52, de Salústio

Abstract

This paper analyses the senatorial debate of Sallust’s Bellum Catilinae 50. 4-52 from a rhetorical perspective, more specifically from the points of view of inuentio and dispositio. In order to do so, I confront the Sallustian exposition with the remaining ancient sources for the debate and investigate the internal criteria adopted in the monograph that explain the disparities between them.

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o debate senatorial apresentado em Bellum Catilinae 50. 4-52 de uma perspectiva retórica, mais especificamente, dos pontos de vista da inuentio e da dispositio. Para tal, confronta-se o relato salustiano com as demais fontes antigas do debate e investigam-se os critérios internos da monografia que justificam suas diferenças.
