dc.description.abstractSebastião da Gama (+1952) fut un poète et écrivain portugais, aussi reconnu en tant que pédagogue à travers le livre qu’il a écrit le long de ses cours et qui s’intitule le “Diário” (Journal). Sa lecture peut encore aujourd’hui être utile aux professeurs, particulièrement lorsque la relation pédagogique n’est pas une mince affaire. Sa pédagogie (positive) se centre sur l’élève, le respect et l’amour envers lui, cherchant qu’il soit heureux. De cette manière, le professeur devrait avoir quelques qualités: aimer ses élèves, être créatif, savoir respecter et être heureux. La discipline passe elle aussi a être centrée sur l’élève et la punition est à peine appliquée en situations extremes. Selon cet auteur, les conséquences directes de cette pédagogie sont visibles au niveau de la didactique, mais aussi dans le cadre de l’évaluation. C’est ainsi une pédagogie vitale qui croit en l’élève et qui cherche à transformer le cours dans une “fête”, mais n’oubliant jamais l’apprentissage.fra
dc.description.abstractSebastião da Gama (+1952) was a Portuguese poet and writer who also became famous as a pedagogue in the book he wrote about his teaching daily life entitled ‘Diário’ (Diary). Reading this book can still be useful to teachers, particularly nowadays when the pedagogical relationship seems to be not easy. His (positive) pedagogy is centred on the teacher respect and love for the student, in search of happiness. Thus, he points out as teachers’ qualities: to love students, to be creative, respectful, and cheerful. This is reflected upon teaching and evaluation. Discipline is also centred on the student and punishment is only applied as a last resort. To conclude, it is about a vital pedagogy that believes in the student and aims at transforming the class into a social event and a ‘party’, without neglecting the learning process.eng
