Abstract

Focusing fundamentally on the Lessons of applied philosophy. Theory of the State of 1813, this paper analyzes the political function of Christianity in the Fichtean understanding of history as the progressive realization of reason. This function is twofold: on the one hand, a political function as a moral education of the citizen and as the civil religion of the State of Right; on the other, a meta-political or utopian (millenarian) function as a requirement of an international federative horizon for the achievement of a single cosmopolitan society on earth.

Centrándose fundamentalmente en las Lecciones de filosofía aplicada. Doctrina del Estado de 1813, este artículo analiza la función política del cristianismo en la comprensión fichteana de la historia como realización progresiva de la razón. Tal función es doble: por un lado, una función política en tanto que educación del ciudadano y religión civil del Estado de Derecho; por otro, una función meta-política o utópica (milenarista) en tanto que exigencia de un horizonte federativo internacional para el logro de una única sociedad cosmopolita en la tierra.
