dc.description.abstract | This paper analyzes the redefinition of the classic text, The Odyssey, which César Brie performed with his theatre company, Teatro de los Andes. Brie, formed at ISTA (International School of Theatre Anthropology), chooses Bolivia to develop his stage work with political gaze and social commitment; he renews the concept of theater anthropology. In the Bolivian play The Odyssey he talks about Latin America, exile, identity, loss. The characters get an universal dimension by the fact that they remind us of the myth , at once the actors share music, dances, customs of the Bolivian culture, they reveal the particular people’s sense of belonging. Brie, tells his own story, he begins his nostos to take revenge over oblivion. | eng |
dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo analiza la resignificación del texto clásico, La Odisea, que César Brie llevó a escena junto a su grupo Teatro de los Andes. Luego de su experiencia en ISTA (Escuela Internacional de Antropología Teatral) elige Bolivia para desarrollar una actividad teatral con mirada política y compromiso social, renovando la concepción de la antropología teatral. En la obra teatral boliviana La Odisea habla de Latinoamérica, el exilio, la identidad, la pérdida. Los personajes adquieren una dimensión universal ya que nos recuerdan al mito, y a la vez los actores comparten la música, los bailes, las costumbres de la cultura boliviana, revelan el sentido de pertenencia de un pueblo. Brie relata su historia y emprende su nostos para vengarse también del olvido. | por |
