Raul Proença: há futuro no eterno retorno?

Abstract

Based on the thinking of the Portuguese philosopher Raul Proença and specifically from his essay, “The philosophy of Epicurus and the heroic conception of life”, published in 1922, we will reflect on some essential features of his vision about the being and the future-time, which naturally results in a dialogue with the German philosopher Nietzsche about the “Eternal Return”.

A partir do pensamento do filósofo português Raul Proença, e mais especificamente do seu ensaio “A filosofia de Epicuro e a concepção heróica da vida”, publicado em 1922, refletimos neste ensaio sobre alguns traços essenciais da sua visão do tempo-futuro e do tempo do ser, o que, na obra de Raul Proença, implica o seu diálogo com o filósofo alemão Nietzsche a respeito do “eterno retorno”.
