Bolchevização, funcionários clandestinos e identidade no PCP

Abstract

O corpo de funcionários clandestinos do PCP constituiu a espinha dorsal do Partido Comunista Português durante o longo período de ilegalidade a que se viu forçado pelo Estado Novo. A mobilidade vertical no aparelho partidário, os critérios de selecção, as tensões entre a norma e a realidade acabariam por moldar esse corpo de funcionários, tomando- -os num eficaz interface entre o reduzido núcleo dirigente e o conjunto dos militantes, dotado de autoridade efectiva, acrescida pelo poder simbólico que veiculavam.

The body of underground part workers made up the backbone of the PCP during the years of illegality under the "Estado Novo" (New State). The vertical mobility in the party organization, the selection criteria, the tensions between the norm and reality, shaped those people. They became a very efficient interface between the small core of leaders and the common party members, holding a not insignificant symbolic power.
