In this paper we analyse the figure of Penelope in the play written by the Italian playwright Patrizia Monaco. Penelopeide is composed with an assembly technique in which Penelope and Euriclea tell us their story and they do it intersecting monologues from two different places and times. It is an original adaptation of the myth to modern times carried out with great polyphony and irony, two of the key aspects in the play that we will discuss here.eng
