Obras de reedificación del Puente de Segura sobre el Rio Eljas en el siglo XVI

Abstract

En este artículo se da a conocer un documento del siglo XVI que describe las obras de reedificación de la estructura central del Puente “Romano” de Segura propuestas por los maestros canteros Pedro Villegas, Diego de Castañeda y Sebastián de Aguirre cuya principal contribución fue la elevación de los arcos y, por tanto, un puente más alto.

The subject of this paper is the rebuilding of central structure of “Roman” Segura’s Bridge contained in a document of the sixteenth century. The master builders were Pedro Villegas, Diego de Castañeda and Sebastián de Aguirre, whose main contribution was the elevation of the archs and, therefore, a higher bridge.
