Transitando entre gêneros musicais: aproximações entre a escola e os meios digitais

Abstract

In the present text, we approach music - in particular, musical genres - in parallel with technologies, in order to bring them closer to the contemporary school in secondary education. In this way, the students’ involvement with the educational activities and their setting to the virtuosities can be amplified by the musical appreciation, constituting itself in an aspect to be surveyed in teacher training. The appreciation of music is certainly one of the most persistent activities in the routine of children, adolescents and young people. Digital media have leveraged this behaviour, bringing it to a record of unprecedented level. Discussing the relationships between music and technology in school can shed light on multiple aspects, bringing out the contexts and functions it can assume both in school and in virtual environments.

No presente texto, abordamos a música – em especial, os gêneros musicais – em paralelo às tecnologias, a fim de aproximá-los da escola contemporânea na educação básica. Neste percurso, o envolvimento dos alunos com as atividades educacionais e sua ambientação às virtualidades poderá ser ampliado pela apreciação musical, constituindo-se em aspecto a ser relevado na formação docente. A apreciação da música é certamente uma das atividades mais persistentes na rotina das crianças, adolescentes e jovens. Os meios digitais potencializaram este comportamento, elevando-o a um patamar sem precedentes históricos. Debater as relações entre música e tecnologias na escola lançaria luz sobre múltiplos aspectos, fazendo emergir os contextos e funções que esta pode assumir na escola e nos ambientes virtuais.
